By Richard Cirminiello So much for the theory that programs on probation have little to play for this fall. Kentucky and Alabama have played inspired football in their first two games despite being ineligible for the postseason. Kudos to Guy Morriss and Dennis Franchione. Blame the odds makers for some of the extra heat that Ron Zook is sure to feel this week. Even in the Swamp, Florida had no right being a 2-point favorite over the defending champs. It took just one afternoon for Miami to answer all of those questions about their running back situation, offensive live and secondary. Each area was instrumental in the Canes 41-16 thumping of the Gators. Willis McGahee has got enormous potential. It wasn’t a Picasso, but Ken Dorsey’s performance in Gainesville was enough to give him the early lead for the Heisman. Jared Lorenzen and Philip Rivers have joined the long list chasing Dorsey. Dejuan Groce hasn’t even though he’s been outstanding in the Huskers first 3 games. Somebody break up 2-0 Kentucky. The once lowly Wildcats got scores from ten different players and rolled up over 600 yards of offense en route to hanging a 5 over par on UTEP. www.collegefootballnews.com/2002/Columnists/RC/Quick_Outs/Quick_Outs.htm

If Jared was at a football powerhouse school like Tennessee or Florida he'd be a Top 5 candidate. Right now his quarterback rating is 11th best in the nation.

Is it just me or does he have a tendency to throw the ball a little behind the recievers?I noticed during the IU game that quite a few recievers had to reach back to make the play. Everwhat, he does have a rocket for an arm though.

The announcers on the radio, said he was little bit off last night. They said it was probably because the ball was wet.
