If you don't think numbers are going to be a big problem for the University of Kentucky football team, then count the freshman scholarship players that reported Tuesday. There were 13. That's barely enough to field either an offensive or defensive team and certainly not enough to keep a team competitive. Granted, two transfers -- offensive lineman Yancey Reynolds from Georgia Military College and Bennie Mills from Florida -- also reported, but that still brings the total to just 15 new scholarship players. No matter how creative Kentucky gets with its recruiting, those numbers are going to play havoc with the football program.
