SANTA BARBARA, California (CNN) -- A grand jury investigating allegations that pop star Michael Jackson molested a 12-year-old boy indicted him Wednesday. The charges in the indictment were not immediately known. His attorneys said he would plead not guilty at his arraignment April 30 in Santa Barbara Superior Court. No trial date has been set. Jackson, 45, pleaded not guilty in January to seven felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and two counts of giving the child an "intoxicating agent." (Full story) His lawyers issued a statement saying they were confident Jackson would be "fully exonerated." "We also remind the public that Michael Jackson, like any other person accused of a crime, is presumed to be innocent," said the statement from Mark Geragos, Robert Sanger, Benjamin Brafman and Steve Cochran. "Michael is looking forward to his day in court and wishes to thank the millions of fans throughout the world who continue to support him during this difficult period." The 19-member grand jury convened March 29 and met for 13 days to decide whether there was enough evidence to indict the singer. Link

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty but I'm also a proponent of where there's smoke, there's fire and it appears as if he's been smoking for a long time.

Off with his head ! (Just my way of saying I think he's guilty , so dont take that wrong. I agree with spam, innocent until proven guilty, but I think its about time their catching up with him and doing something. They are starting to get imformation and indite others as well for the threatening he has been doing to the families, that I had mentioned before. Thats why many actions have been stopped, was the threats he was sending to families to scare them out of their "Memories" and the prosecution could not proceed without witnesses, Im glad this family has stood firm.

Guys the evidence is just too compelling to let this ride. I'm not one for making examples of people, but regardless of who he is Michael Jackson needs to be put away for life if found guilty. It's time that the rich and famous were held to the same standards of law that you and I are held to. The same goes for Kobe Bryant. I feel he has been given the royalty treatment from the sports media, with little or no thought to the possible victim. I know these people are revered, but they are people, and can do just as atrocious things as any other criminal. It's time that the victims were thought of.

Innocent until proven guilty. Not in America. It's the other way around... guilty until proven innocent.
NOTE: I'm not condoning Jackson's supposed actions at all, so I hope it doesn't come across that away.
But, I will say this: This isn't the first time Jackson has been accused of something like this, so it makes it that much harder to believe that he is innocent. But, once again he's innocent until proven guilty by American standards. But, ultimately, God is the judge, not the American courts.

Considering he has already paid off one kid's family to 'just go away', it definately makes it very compelling to assume guilt first in this case as well. I do not believe it is an accident that nearly his entire defense team quit (or were 'fired') a few hours after the indictment was announced.

You darn well better believe in "innocent until PROVEN guilty" because you never know when it might be your life on the line.
Do things look good for Jackson? Probably not. However, I am not totally convinced he is guilty of these charges. When I look at Michael Jackson, I see a child in a man's body. When I hear him speak, I hear a child's voice. When I read stories about his childhood, I see someone who really never got to just simply be a kid. Isn't it POSSIBLE that he truly was just trying to live as a child? (keep in mind that I don't think its appropriate for a grown male to have kids sleep in his bed...but perhaps in his mind, he is NOT a grown man?)
Just tossing out some random thoughts I have on this issue.

I dont think so FBB, and heres why. Other police reports, that have been and are now public give to many details of "little boys " descibing Jacksons Private parts and other "Unseen area's to a "T". And that includes his Penis. These details are ,VERY DETAILING I might add, and get down to little spots and such, I really dont want to think about this though , but the fact is that they have been described by some children in previous cases, then their family 's always received Death threats, one child was almost run over by a car and the police reports show that it was an intentional act at the child and not a random thing. Their after, many parents and all starting dropping their suits, and losing their memories because the prosecution took so long to get the cases to court, the families and friends became frightened and backed away. These are files I have read from the case that have been made public, just to many other things to list, but to me, there is little to no doubt. BC- I agree, everyone should be treated equal, rich, poor famous or not, I said the same thing awhile back in another post, I though am not convinced on the Kobe Bryant thing, I honestly feel this young woman wanted to be with him, and maybe even had a plan once she knew it was him. To many things are not adding up with her, but I will say, if Kobe is guilty, and he indeed did Rape this young woman , then Yes, by all means he should be punished just like any other person.
