Busted, nobody is asking you to love Tubby. No one is asking that you never criticize Tubby.
The point being made is very simple: not every discussion needs to turn into a debate of Tubby's merits or faults. We would like the topics to stay true to the discussion at hand.
As for the current topic at hand, IF it is true that Cliff is ineligible for the fall semester, it seems to me that at least SOMEONE on the coaching staff DID understand there was a problem, hence Cliff's enrollment in summer school. Sometimes, in spite of all the help in the world from coaches, teachers and other mentor-types, the student still manages to let something slide. Does Scott Padgett ring a bell?

Well, lets just put it this way then. WHO is responsible for seeing to it that a kid's grades are kept up and I will leave it alone after you give me an answer that says Tubby is not responsible. That was the point I was trying to make when ted came aboard and started this Tubby bashing crap to begin with. He stated that he just HAD to register so he could comment on what I posted. so, I responded

RANT all you want bluekat. I HAVE read the rules and nowhere in them does it say that I HAVE to like Tubby or you as far as that is concerned.

RANT all you want bluekat. I HAVE read the rules and nowhere in them does it say that I HAVE to like Tubby or you as far as that is concerned Did I reference you anywhere in my post?? I referenced a certain group of fans so if you I stepped on your toes, I guess the shoe fit. Now, I hope you reconsider leaving the board for awhile because I really like reading your posts. I'm sure thay may come as a shock to you. I did not see your post that got that jerked so I can't say what was in it. If it had content that was judged to be an attack on Tubby, then it should have been gone. BUT if it did not have content like that, it was wrong to jerk it. As far as this thread goes, it was dealing with Hawk and the possibility of him being ineligible. Is that a subject too hard to discuss without having it turn into a thread debating Tubby's qualities as a coach. I find it really funny that only those that absolutely do not want Tubby here are the ones that will find anything to lay at his feet. So where is the students liability here? Cliff, as any student, should hold the most responsibility here. With CATS program, there is not much excuse for an athlete to fail unless they just don't care.

Whos responsible for seeing the players are going to class, keeping up their grades, and to make sure they are in by curfew? Usually that responsibility lies on the lowest coach on the Totem Pole. And I believe that is Hanson. If the responsibility of those issues are not the players then it was Hansons. I have no facts to give on this opinion, but in programs I have seen on ESPN features those responsibilities are on the lowest coaching Asst. ED

That's a good point, Jim. I just figured Bogans might play two more often than three because he will be more of a two in the NBA. He really could play either. But I agree that he might play more 2 position if Hawk is out since Fitch and Barbour will man the point. Good post.
