I have an honest question to ask and it should tell you the state of UK Basketball.
DO YOU THINK THAT UK BASKETBALL IS IN BETTER SHAPE NOW THAN WHEN Tubby INHERITED THE HEAD COACHING POSITION? I do not want the Reasons Why, But Ifs or Excuses. I just want a simple YES or NO vote. Bailey

Must agree with KJ and not answer the poll. It is about the same.

No can answer the poll as it is obvious but not necessarily a reflection of the coach.
This poll is here for the purpose of trying to discredit Tubby.
Was the program in better shape when Hall left it, was it in better shape when Sutton left? The answer is no, but that does little to show what caliber coach they were. We have been to the final four and won a championship with Tubby at the helm, and we have just missed the final four on two other occasions that had a little luck been on our side we would have made.
This pole weighted IMO.

BC Start your own poll if you don't like the wording. I don't see why it is so hard to get a simple yes or no answer. Bailey PS Hall and Sutton were replaced. The only difference was Hall knew when to step down and Sutton should have been band from college basketball.

Because it's not as simple as yes or no.
I did start a similar poll a few weeks ago about Tubby's approval rating and I at least offered an undecided.
The poll showed that while many were unhappy with Tubby the majority still approved of the job Tubby is doing.

sadly its tough to argue that with not being to the final 4 since 1998 i sitll think Tubby is a great person and i hope he can get UK to the final 4 this year and every year

Well duh, read the question. That question is so open ended. You could pick a season under just about any former coach and ask the same question and the answer would be no if the current season happened to be an off season. No one, but no one is better every year than they were the year before. MBH, surely you see what the point of this poll was. It was meant for nothing more than to make some feel good about hating Tubby. If they can get some to agree with such a wide open question then they feel validated. Everyone has their opinion and I'll respect all yours, but as I've already stated I'll stand behind Tubby right now until I feel the need to change my loyalty. I've been guilty myself of bashing Tubby when I felt he had fallen short, but the truth is Tubby has done a great job at UK IMO and I don't need anyone to agree with me to validate that. So you can take you polls and your negative spin and have fun with it. I'm here to celebrate my Wildcats and cheer them on.

Yes, it's in better shape. Better TV deal, better access for the fans, new practice facility getting built, etc. I think the program is in better shape, and Tubby's had a lot to do with that. Pitino left the program in great shape, and Kentucky hasn't fallen off the map, and we won't anytime soon unless we commit some major violations.

Sometmes I wish you people would get what you wish for ever since they hired a black coach. Then UK can get their own version of the UNC meltdown. Because that IS WHAT HAPPENS when you get rid of a coach who is doing well but because "Head in the Clouds" people like yourselves moan and cry because UK wins 25+ games every year and have a chance at a National Title is not enough. But then LOYALIST like myself does not deserve to see my Beloved Cats have a losing season. You think UK has been shown in a bad light wait til Tubby is rode out of here and UK will be the bottom feeders til the end of time. NO COACH worth his salt would waste his time here. Why come to UK and even if successful if you dont win it all every couple of years you have fans calling for you to resign or to be FIRED!!! And if you havent been paying attention UK is NOW the LAUGHING STOCK of the NCAA because of a few minority LOUD "Rednecks" and their complaints against Tubby. Because you refuse to realize that for the exception of some of the upper powerhouse the other 98% of the NCAA schools would LOVE to Have Tubby. ED

I really think UK should be in the upper 2%. We were in the 90's when if you mentioned Duke, you had to mention UK. Now when you mention 10 other schools, sometimes you might find. UK. Whether Tubby is black, white, purple, or red or a Klingon ; it makes no difference this program has gone downhill overall since the 90's not just this year.

That is not why those schools don't want Tubby. Duke and UNC are not changing coaches anytime soon. Same for Arizona and UConn. Every other school in the country would love to have Tubby. Even those schools would if any of those guys left.
