i didn't know going 87-15 overall and 51-6 over three years with mostly unheralded prep talent qualified as mediocre coaching and unenthusiastic leadership. Qualify that with a very weak SEC as it has shown by its results in NCAA play and by the fact that we had 2 #1 seeds in that period knocked out of the tournament by a 3 seed and a 9 seed. Why do we have unheralded talent. Cause either Tubby can't get or when he does get the top talent; he can't handle them. Need proof? Look at team turmoil which Tubby said was the most talented team he had ever had and look at this team with 3 Mickey D's, though I admit not much else. Team Turmoil II? Kinda deja vu watching our players yell at each other, Tubby yell at everybody, and everybody looking like they're having no fun.. Tubby realized he couldn't win it all with the Fitch's and Daniel's of the world and got some better talent. Now he can't control them. Individual meetings with all the players, 2 with Rondo. Are the inmates running the asylum? I would say Tubby may not have ruptured the program but let him stay awhile longer and everybody will be crying where did our program go? ok you say Tubby cant handle top talent, which i can somewhat agree with. team turmoil was very talented but troubled, just like this team has looked at times. but we saw what Tubby pulled off in 02-03 with players like fitch, hawkins, daniels, and hayes who were all largely unheralded prep stars. unfortuntely keith bogans' ankle and dwayne wades career night kept us from the final four. and of course since we didnt make the final four that year or the next, everyone gets on Tubby and his recruiting complaining that we can't win b/c Tubby is too inept see talent and get the highest rated players which makes us suck, or something to that effect. so what does Tubby do, he goes out and proves he can recruit to please you naysayers and gets what is considered by many as the #1 class in the nation. as soon as that group of talented kids start to perform poorly, people jump on Tubby for not being able to handle high-level talent. so i ask you, what is he to do? he obviously cannot appease you in this vicious cycle.

stagger, it doesnt take a coach to say something is wrong. bottom line, is we're on the decline, wether some want to admit it or not...
sure coaching at this level has to be hard. Hell, I couldnt do it, but we arent paying Tubby 2.5 mill for nothing, or are we? bottom line, excuses are for the losers.
