That being, over the past 3 seasons Tubby has won more than anybody. I'm not sure what happens when you add this season, but I think we're still either 2nd or 3rd in the country.

I absolutly love how people mention a three year span but refuse to acknowledge this year or the horrible four year span before it.

I don't think so kj. Does Eric's even exist now? No, but it was a very good message board with free flow of all viewpoints.

Do people realize that Adolph Rupp had a 6 and a 7 year span without a Final 4 appearance, 1959-1965 and 1967-1972. If it weren't for the 1966 season, he'd have went 14 years between Final 4's! Yeah, Rupp won 4 titles, but he coached from 1931 - 1972. While looking at his records, it took him 17 years to win his first title.
I'm not happy with this season, but when looking at our history of winning titles, it's clear that Rupp got plenty of time to win and I think that through the multiple elite 8's and SEC titles, that Tubby has earned little latitude due to a couple of classes that didn't pan out. His entire staff has droped the ball on these guys and it happens from time to time. If they don't learn from this series of recruiting mistakes, then heads should roll.

Its more than recruiting mistakes. Our players aren't that bad.

Shag, Stockton, Perry, Woo and Thomas are the mistakes and they ARE that bad.

Williams too. You are right.
I'm just saying there is much more a problem here than just missed recruits. I really think our current players could win a lot of games in a different system.

I'm not passing judgement on the freshmen yet. Williams has got 4 guards ahead of him on the playing time totum pole.
