So have we conceded next year as well? This is pathetic...If us fans think we cant do it. How do you think that translates to the players. I know of no players that read here and could translate that, do you? The only one that I knew of that checked out DD Riley was Jules Camara. I cant speak for WCM. I do however post here some, and TONS at DD and I know both sites are currently listed in most search engines. Also, players do check sites out incognito.

I would be honored to know that current or former players read this board.
I think the positives far outweigh the negatives spoken on our board as well as many other boards.
As for giving up on next season: NO WAY! I believe that we have the nucleus for a very deep run next season with or without Morris. This team is going to be great next season.
Write it down!

golf, in another thread, you state that Tubby is a great coach. Tubby is a great coach. Jim Calhoun is a great coach, do you know how long it took him to get to his first final four in 1999. Calhoun had many unfortunate things happen to him in the Elite Eight, but he finally broke thru. The same can be said for Tubby. Tubby wouldn't be viewed as any better a coach had he made the final four this year. It's ludicrous to think that one game determines how great a coach is. BUt, if one game/win does determine how great a coach is... let me tell you, Tubby has won 343 games in 14 seasons (second best in 14 years only to Roy Williams I believe).
And, Katman, according to Tubby, the person doing the recruiting, "recruiting has always gone well." You gotta take that one up with Tubby if you don't agree. But, I tend to side with the one who signs the dotted line for the recruits.

We dont disagree at all on the recruits. We both agree recruiting has been fine. My point was...After the fine job Tubby did in winning the 98 title, why have we not been able to replicate the offensive output of that team after SEVEN years of solid recruiting. Herein lies the problem I feel as to to why we haven't gone to a Final 4 in seven years. That was Tubbys only year of averaging 80 points a game.(1998) And those players played in another college system.

its simply becasue Tubby is not an offensive coach. he is a great defensive caoch and a good offensive coach. in an offensive system, if you are not hitting your shots your going to get blown out of the gym, like louisville did in some of its games. like against memphis. in tubbys system you arent going to kill many people but even if your not playing great on offense your going to stay in the game. there was only like 2 teams that shot over 50 percent against kentucky this year.

To win the national title game or get over the Final Four hump, you've got to outscore the opponent. You can do that with a score of 80 to 75 or a score of 60 to 58. All that matters is the win. If offensive scoring is such a big deal, Arizona should have more than one national title as they led the nation in scoring back in 2003 I do believe. That's why most coaches look at scoring margin, which gives weight to defense and offense. But, in regard to Tubby's recruiting, there's no difference to me. We continue to get great players. Now that doesn't mean we're gonna average 80 ppg every season.

Thanks for clearing this up for all the Maniacs in that I know they have been hanging by tooth and nail awaiting the confirmation of my view.

All I know is what you write in your posts, one in which claims Tubby to be a good coach and other claiming he's great. I'm confused. I'm glad you've clarified it for us all now.
