I can't. Obvioulsy I did at the end of the 98 and 99 seasons, but since 99, you're right...nothing real happy about except the two SEC tourny championships so there is some satisfaction. But the ship has a leak and is 50% submerged and sinking quickly. There is no way we can fix the ship, it's already doomed, however if we get all the passengers off and get them on a new ship, perhaps we can save them. The Moral: Tubby and team are sinking but this can be his year to fix the problem and get fan support back. But like I say he has to STINK or he has to rock, because a mediocre season like the last three probably isn't enough for him to get fired or quit and the ship's just going to slowly sink more and more until finally it's gone.

How could you ever trust this Captain with a new ship?

How could you ever trust this Captain with a new ship? What choice do we have?

At this early stage in the season- none. Like I said earlier, Tubby is on a short rope. If we get a repeat of the last three years, he will be gone.

If we get a repeat of the last three year's I'll go to his front door and tell him to leave. I want to read JUST ONE preseason article on how good Kentucky will be and how they might be a potential Final Four team. Seems forever since I've read one of those. If he's not fired after another similar season, I don't know if I can make it until 2007.

How can anyone still support TLT? I don't understand. He lied the very first day he was hired, when he said I'm going to tweek the system. Hell he ruined it. To me he's not a man of his word. HE LIED!! I hope that people that still support him will take off the blinders and see what really is going on. He simply doesn't belong here. He's in over his head. JMO. Newton stuck it to us, didn't he. It's time to show TLT the door. I hate what he has done to the program at UK. I cancelled ESPN Fullcourt, because I think this year will be the same as the last 3. I'm not wasting anymore of my money on his sorry coached UK teams. I'm PRO-UK, ANTI-Tubby. Tubby MUST GO!! Just on man's thoughts.

'Tis ashame JoeB cancelled his ESPN fullcourt. He's missed some EXCELLENT basketball using the system Tubby "ruined."
The definitive answer to this post's question: "Will Tubby Be Around at the end of this season?" YES! As long as some NBA team doesn't lure an excellent coach away from us.

Well, This is my first post in this message board. I have enjoyed reading everything from the past several months, getting a feel for where everyone stands.
Aside from the most recent post that Teddy made on the 1st of March, there hasn't been anything new since 10/28. Now that we are still undefeated in the SEC, with a perfect record for the past two months, I am just curious to see where some of you currently stand on the original question posed.

I remain a fan of untold and undifined continuous support. I will holler and shout and cheer. But be critical all the time. Naug, not me, it is basketball, and there are other things far more important to criticize, like some of the stupid managers here at work. Lunitics, all of them, except me. They are worse that Carruth, Sears and Parker, all trying to make the same team. imagine that. It could happen, somewhere, sometime.

I hope Tubby's recruiting continues to improve and that this "solid" recruiting class won't be his last for another three years? It's simple either Tubby can't A) coach or he can't B) recruit? I'm hopeing it's B? Yip, not sure I could take another three years myself, 2007 without a final four appearance. IF this happens my optimistic side will change and I don't want to hear any Tubby supporters telling me there is still hope? I say no final four appearance by 2007 better = no Tubby!!!

With the talent that UK has had how in the world do you lose as many games as he does? He seems to be perfectly happy with the outcome. I agree and disagree.. By no means am I a Tubby suppoter, but you just stated part of the problem. Tubby hasn't had enough talent, with the exception of Bogans and Prince UK has greatly lacked in the talent area under Tubby. I agree with you that when UK losses a game Tubby doesn't seem to care, it's just another day. It does kinda upset me that he seems so calm and doesn't really care about the outcome, but I can assure you that it upsets him. Ofcourse it does!!!

snick, if Prince and Bogans are so good, why were they here for each of the three double digit loss seasons? (BTW, I do agree they both are good, I'm just making a point.)

Good point, I guess they weren't that great or maybe Tubby just isn't that great of a coach? I agree with one thing Pitino always said, you need (atleast) two NBA quality prospects on your team to win a championship.. Look at UConn, the top two alone entering the draft Okafer and Hamilton will be solid NBA performers, this isn't even taking into account the remaining youing talent on this team (Charlie Vilnuava).. More often then not you need great players to win that final game.. Bogans never really matured until his senior season and it took Prince awhile aswell. both didn't become the college players I had hoped until later.
