I feel that there is reason to worry. A UL fan could say How long has it been since UK has been to the Final Four? We would say 1998. They would say sorry 2005 for them. Do you think that any of these current High School Seniors could even name one player on the 1998 team? I bet they could name some of the ones on UL 2005 team. Do you not feel that gives UL a big recruiting advantage? I do. Bailey

I could give a careless what a Louisville fan has to say about basketball. They know their place.

Chewy You are right. I am miserable if we aren't National Champions. I am 58 years old and have been around to listen to and see several of our Championship games. I feel lucky that I can recall some of the moments of these games. All our present college generation have to draw on are our 1996 and 1998 Champoinships. The other ones are just numbers with no meanings or importance. This is why it is so important for us to be able to compete so we can keep up our tradition so it won't be forgotten like UCLA. Bailey

Yes KTB you could care less what UL fans say. I live in Louisville and hear it all the time. What the problem is recognition and status. This is turned into recruiting win falls, which turns into more wins. A good example is to compare UL and UK Football programs over the last 10 years. Both were bad and UK managed to get some of the top recruits in the state if they didn't go to power house teams. Now UL is getting all the Mr. Footballs and top recruits. They are rated in the top ten and we are rated in the bottom ten. This is what happens when you don't care about what is happening in the state. I for one CARE! Bailey

OK, IF UK wins a national championship in the next 2-3 years will you guys finally shut up? Would that finally be enough? Probably not. You don't think it's even possible that we could go on another run of final fours? Holy cow, God forbid that we have a few years without a championship Someone in the thread actually called this a drought I don't like everything about Tubby or the team but this is just getting ridiculous. Believe me if Pitino were still here it's not like would have been going to the Final Four every year and winning championships like John Wooden and UCLA. Folks, those days are over, with the NBA getting the top talent so quickly it is merely a sign of the times. Get real....

In the last 5 years how many times has Duke, Michigan St., and Kansas been to the Final Four? I don't have the exact numbers but I bet each has been atleast twice. You can't be Top Dog if you haven't been once in that time. There is only room for one Top Dog! Bailey

Bailey There's Louisville fans here also, but I could care less what they have to say once again. I know which program is better, therefore, I don't need their input to change my opinion. You're complaining about recruiting. Go figure--UK had the #1 recruiting class in the nation... after a second round exit to UAB last year. We improved with an Elite 8 this year, so I still fail to comprehend what you're point is.

Didn't have a top 20 class with Alleyne and that bunch, a top rated class overloaded with guards, and then a class this year that will be lucky to be top 100. Yep, that's consistency and excellence in recruiting. Take a snooze, wake up and work awhile, then go into hibernation. The past 3 years in summation. The hardest working coach in America who does not like to travel or utilize possible extra practice time.
