It seems we have an influx of fans that have been saying that they want Tubby to win it all next year or leave. Any opinions on this?
Me personally I dont like the tone of it.I was wanting to get other opinions though.

I for one am not impressed with Tubbys offense. We are loaded with tallented players and we don't play at up temple speed. Here are 2 stats that the previous UK coaches have have. 1 No more than 2 ten loss seasons in a row. Tubby has 3 in a row. 2 The longest time between trips to the Final Four 8 years. This coming season will make 8 years for Tubby if he makes it. Does this mean that we will have to wait this long all the time he is Head Coach? Only time will tell but he doesn't have a good start in these 2 areas. At UK average is not good enough BY PREVIOUS UK COACHING STANDARDS. Bailey

You can approach 30 wins with 10 losses.

Bailey, I'd like to add a third point to your post.
3. From Rupp to the present, Tubby is the only UK coach to never have a .500 or sub .500 season. Even Rupp had a .500 season.
Let's tell the whole story and not just a selected version of it.

I believe that the " win it or leave" is completely abserd.
This is 2005, NOT 1945, 1940, 1961, 1978, not 1957, this is today. Continuously comparing the ancient past with this season, next season, or the last six is arrogant irrational and blind thinking. IMHO.
When comparing, I mean LIVING with ghosts and in the past all the time, NOTHING and nobody will EVER be good enough for those thinking that way. Those thinkers will allways be very unhappy with whomever is coaching, and what ever direction the program is going.
Nothing wil, ever be good enough, just like what we see on the board today.

Texas Blue and others The past is why UK is so highly reguarded. If you say forget it then we have to look at the present and frankly it doesn't add up over the last 7 years to make UK the number one university in Basketball. Look at the Final Fours and National Championships in the last 7 years (Tubbys Rein). Mich. St, Duke, Kansas, and NC all have more appearances (this is what we play the first half of the season for). As for losing seasons that Tubby doesn't have. I have to say that is very good, but if you look at what Tubby inherated versus Rupp and Pitino there are no comparisons. Rupp built the program from the ground up and will ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST COACH UK will ever have. As for Pitino he inherated a team that was bottoming out due to CHEATING. When Pitino left he left Tubby with a Pre Season number 1 ranked team. In my opinion the past has everything to do with UK being Number 1. That is why we have been considered the best team in basketball and it is up to whom ever that is in charge at the present to keep us NUMBER 1. IT IS ALL ABOUT NACHIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND FINAL FOURS. Bailey

Texas Blue Stick to your guns. Everyone has an opinion and yours counts just as much as mine. If you noticed I did not call for Tubby to leave. He is one of the best coaches out there. All I want is the Best whether it be Final Fours, National Championships or Coaches. My stance is for Tubby to tweek his style. He has the ability to be considered one of the best. I hope there will be a time when hangs number eight, nine, etc. in the rafters for UK. Then we should hang his jursey from the rafters.

I personally enjoy coach Smith and hope he stays at least until he shows what he can do with this group of upcoming sophomores.
Let's give him that much time. I think he can get it done.

IMO, I don't know how one could say to get rid of Tubby!! He has run a clean program with class players and his overall record is one of the best. While I'm not a fan of the slower tempo Tubby Ball, we did make progress withy a group of young players that made it to the Elite 8 and should have been in the Final Four. IMO, Tubby is one step away from getting the Cats back to the annual threat of making the Final Four - OFFENSIVE SCHEME/ PHILOSOPY. If he gets some influence either by bringing someone on staff or just reconciling himself to using the depth of tallent that he has and play more uptempo, these Cats and those we are about to get will take away the talk of "Win it or else"!!

Golf, as great as your post is, you still will not get "free" mulligans. You must by a round of cold brew for all for each one.
