Tubby does a pretty good job of keeping us in the top 10 but he's really just treading water and not moving us up. We need someone with a more exciting style and more up tempo. But we can't let Tubby go before getting rid of Barnhart or God only knows who he would bring in. "we can't let Tubby go before getting rid of Barnhart or God only knows who he would bring in." good one! he would probably bring in a mediocre unknown from somewhere in the pacific Northwest to lead the most storied program in college basketball history... nah...that's pretty a pretty funny thought, but...I would have to think that Mitchy boy could do better at replacing the Tubmeister than he did with replacing Guy Morris... IF Mitch had landed Bill Parcells (and he nearly did), everyone would have been singing his praises...it is disturbing what he settled for when he did NOT land Parcells though...then again, being the head football coach at UK is not considered one of the 'Plum Jobs' out there!!! Actually, I believe I have heard the Kentucky football job being referred to as the "Coaching Graveyard" on many occasions...so it probably is not an easy sell for an AD to reel in a big fish here...and that is what we need...a big fish... the basketball job though...man oh man...night and day difference compared to our football job...we should only consider the very best and only hire one of the very best...anything less is unacceptable...

Mitch Barny WOULD NOT be allowed the final word on the selection of a new Kentucky Basketball coach!! While Football really doesn't matter at Kentucky, there would be many minds at work on the basketball opening.

Heck there are already many minds at work on this board to find Tubby's replacement. I'm sure the administration would get much advice on the subject.

I hope the administration will listen to us. I know we were giving much better advice on the football hire of Brooks.

im telling u Bobby Gonzales is the man ,look at this article Latest in a summer series: What's up at ... Manhattan? Manhattan coach Bobby Gonzalez isn't playing fair. He continues to stock his MAAC roster with Big East players. Five years ago Gonzalez accepted a Rutgers transfer named Luis Flores, who scored 2,046 points and led the Jaspers to 68 wins in three seasons, including a 2004 NCAA Tournament upset of Florida. Manhattan's Bobby Gonzalez keeps recruiting talented players. (Getty Images) Last year Gonzalez lost Flores but added C.J. Anderson, who turned down late interest from Pittsburgh and Georgetown to sign with Manhattan. Anderson, a 6-foot-6 wing, averaged 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists and earned the most MAAC rookie of the week honors since Lionel Simmons in 1986. www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/8662413
