Too much salt of the earth I guess. Wait a minute, isn't that a pirates tail. Salt of the sea? In ancient times, salt and light were seen as essential elements of life. <hint>

First, do we have a prove center entering the season? NOSecond do we have a proven player entering the season at the 4 position. NOThird, do we have a proven player entering the season at the 5 position? NO First and Third are the same Buddy. I have no idea how these two classes can be talked about without even the mention of Kelenna Azubuike, a big time recruit who was forced to leave due to a family situation. Also, getting Pat (an all-SEC guard) the next year was a big-time grab over Felton and Georgia. Again, I know KT mentioned Azubuike really early, but everyone ignored it. BIG TIME RECRUIT who is getting ignored. The Azubuike situation can help to explain the lack of big-time guys for this year as well. We were thinking we only had 2 scholarships to give, but we had a surprise third come up at the last minute.

Hey #4, kt had me thinking a little irrational for a minute. That's all. I am back to normal now. We are going to have a great team this year. And the class Tubby will bring in next year should be stellar.

It is no problem. The major thing that bugged me is the complete absense of discussion about the best recruit during the said years (Azubuike).

Azubuike may have had many talents but he never realized his full potential. I'm not blaming anything or anyone, but it is a fact that Buike had much more ability than he ever displayed.

There has never been a kid at UK that I wanted to do well than I did Kelenna. He may be the most athletic kid to EVER (debatable I know) wear a UK jersey, but for some reason his potential wasn't close to being reached.

I think Rondo is more athletic than him personally.
I agree though. I think everyone wanted him to do well. He is such an easy guy to like.
Golf, I'm not disagreeing with you one bit in that there wasn't unused potential there, but he WAS a star recruit that year.

I remember reading a lot of posts about him on this board when he first came aboard. There certainly were high expectations for sure. I remember him being refereed to as a "force".

He averaged like 37 points a game in high school. The McDonalds game is a lot about politics, but he was certainly qualified.
