It is proving to be more and more substandard. Is Tubby too nice (or non aggressive) to be a "good closer" in selling the Kentucky Program to top quality recruits. There's an old saying that "nice guys finish last". Of course there is another theory to consider and that being that the Product of Tubby Ball is not real enticing to the top recruits.

Golf we all know the top recruits want to come to a school where they can show off their OFFENSIVE skill and get a big contract in the NBA. Very few people have been drafted in the NBA Draft based on their defensive skills. When you come to UK you have to play defense to play on the court.
It takes a special type of McD's AA or Parade AA to come to UK. It takes a player that is willing to sacrifice a bit of himself and be less selfish than most, that's why we can't attract the big names.
I think Tubby is doing the best job he can as a salesman, but you can't sell defense to an 18-year-old kid that wants millions in the NBA some day. We may be better off without the big guns because they could never be satisfied in Tubby's system. Look at what we went through with Morris and Crawford last year...

And guys like Buike have been suppressed in their offensive skills with Tubby Ball. He always looked so confused!!

I'm happier today than I was on Sunday.
I will feel even better on Monday when Thadeus Young announces his intent to play for the Cats.
