I guess you've ran out of Pitino ammunition now, huh, so you got to go to Izzo now. It's lost cause arguing with me, because I'm standing firm in what I believe, and I respect you stances. I've been advised to just ignore stuff like this, and I will.

True, no comparison.. one said they were staying here and left two weeks later only to fail for a second time in the NBA and then chose to go to the in-state rival (for state funds, recruits, fans, donations, head-to-head games, etc.) of the old college team.. Yep, no comparison at all....
Keep ;D

Pitino would've been back here again if Tubby had been serious about going to USC instead of just using it to hijack poor brainless Mitch out of a boatload of money. Still no comparison on the court period. Show me a team of Tubby's recruits that has reached beyond the Elite Eight. YOU CAN'T!!!!!!!! Pitino has put together at least 4 FF teams. Might be a lesser man but Tubby can't carry his clipboard.

BTW, I am not a Pitino Fan and would have never wanted him back at Kentucky.

i have a question for all those who think Tubby should have an asterik next to his national title that says "this was with pitino's team." do you think roy williams should have an asterik next to his title that says "this was doherty's team"?

NO answers!!! Sounds just like some people. Can't get them to be quiet about Tubby, then they can't answer a question that thwarts their agenda.
I'll answer your question: no that's Roy Williams' championship. He coached those players. When one coach leaves and another takes over it becomes their players. You could possibly make a case for Steve Fisher's title in 1989 with Michigan since he took over when the tourney started, but you can't place an * next to Tubby or Roy's national title. Even if you want to, you can't take that ring off of Tubby or Roy's finger.

If 98 was Tubby's, last year was Roy's. Roy had been to several FF's and had built teams from the ground up. Tubby inherited a team and pushed the right buttons. He had gone to a couple of sweet 16's prior to UK; that was his pedigree. I give him credit for the championship though I give the never say die attitude and superior conditioning to Pitino. Tubby still hasn't shown he has the vision to assemble a team with the right parts to play his style and win it all. Maybe he will, imo ain't gonna happen.
